On January 17, MakersPlace announced its exit from the NFT market, citing challenges in securing funding and decreasing trading volumes. The NFT trading volume fell by 19% in 2024, making it one of the worst years since 2021.
The platform will support users in transferring assets before the deadline in June 2025, providing features to facilitate this transition. They also assured severance for employees and return of unused funds to investors.
