Fed’s Harker supports steady interest rate policy stance for now

Patrick Harker, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, affirmed a steady interest rate policy as he highlighted the strength of the U.S. Economy during a speech. He believes the current rate is appropriate to manage inflation.

Harker projects inflation will decrease toward the 2% target over time, although uncertainties regarding new economic policies exist. He remains positive about a long-term drop in the policy rate, suggesting a resilient economic environment.
