Vietnamese Enterprises Request Laos’ Help in Tackling Theft Issues

On March 15, a delegation from Champasak Province (Laos) led by Vice Chairman Som Bouttakoun visited the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG). During the meeting, VRG’s Vice General Director Le Dinh Buu Tri summarized the production situation of its member companies in Laos, notably two companies operating in Champasak that provide stable jobs and contribute to local economic development. Buu Tri requested provincial support in addressing rubber theft and illegal purchasing points and expressed a desire for assistance in expanding rubber cultivation areas. Vice Chairman Som Bouttakoun acknowledged the companies’ positive impacts and committed to directing efforts against theft while collaborating to facilitate suitable rubber planting for Vietnam-Laos Rubber Company.
