BAF Vietnam Agricultural Joint Stock Company has announced plans to develop a high-rise pig farming project in Tay Ninh, with a total capital of 760 billion VND. The project covers 1,550 hectares and includes four buildings with a capacity of up to 64,000 breeding sows and 1.6 million pigs. The “pig apartment complex” model will save land area up to 10 times compared to traditional farming and reduce labor costs by about 27%. Although the initial investment costs are 45-50% higher, this model ensures biosecurity and has higher breeding efficiency, with the ability to harvest in 170-175 days. BAF aims to achieve a target of 450,000 sows and 10 million pigs by 2030 and plans to further develop in the South and Central Highlands.
