Thai CEO earning 6 billion unexpectedly resigns, leading Vietnamese plastic company takes new action

Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (BMP) has announced that Chaowalit Treejak has submitted his resignation as a Member of the Board of Directors and CEO due to health reasons, effective June 1, 2025. Chaowalit, who had the highest income in 2024 (6.2 billion VND), served as CEO since August 2022. His position will be replaced by Niwat Athiwattananont, currently the Director of Research and Plastic Technology at SCG Chemicals, with a 5-year appointment period. Binh Minh Plastics, the leading company in plastic pipe production with a 25% market share in 2024, reported revenue of 4.6 trillion VND and net profit of 991 billion VND, both slightly down from 2023. BMP shares are currently priced at 120,300 VND/share, with a market capitalization exceeding 9.8 trillion VND.
