Vietcombank Shares Reach Historic High

As of March 12, Vietcombank’s VCB shares reached an all-time high of 66,700 VND/share, rising over 3% with a liquidity of nearly 7.6 million shares traded, marking the highest since November 2017. This record coincided with the ex-dividend date for stock dividends at a rate of 49.5% for shareholders. After the issuance, the total outstanding shares of Vietcombank will be nearly 8.36 billion, making a significant mark in the Vietnamese stock market. Vietcombank is also expected to increase its charter capital from 55.891 trillion VND to approximately 83.557 trillion VND. Previously, it had planned to distribute dividends in shares from the profit of 2023 amounting to over 22.770 trillion VND and discussed other capital increase plans. Despite its undistributed profit reaching nearly 107.700 trillion VND, the bank needs approvals from authorities for its dividend payment plans.
