VinGroup’s shares (VIC) owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong rose by 4.4%, closing at 47,300 VND per share, pushing its market capitalization to nearly 181 trillion VND (7 billion USD), surpassing Hoa Phat. Vuong’s net worth is estimated at around 98 trillion VND (3.9 billion USD), gaining 15 trillion since the beginning of 2025. According to Forbes, he is the richest person in Vietnam with a net worth of 6.7 billion USD, ranking 501st globally, an increase of 211 spots since the beginning of the year. VinFast, his electric vehicle company, has a market value of about 8 billion USD and is the best-selling car brand in Vietnam in 2024. VinFast was ranked 101st in the 500 best companies in the Asia-Pacific 2025. Vinpearl, a member of Vingroup, has submitted its application for listing on HoSE, likely to further expand the group’s scale.
