Vingroup’s Market Capitalization Surpasses Hoa Phat, Pham Nhat Vuong Approaches Top 500 Richest Billionaires

Vingroup’s (VIC) stock, owned by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, is performing well, rising 4.4% on March 10 to 47,300 VND/share, boosting its market capitalization to nearly 181 trillion VND (7 billion USD), surpassing Hoa Phat. Vuong’s total assets are around 98 trillion VND (3.9 billion USD), an increase of 15 trillion since the beginning of 2025. According to Forbes, he has climbed to the 501st position on the global billionaire list with 6.7 billion USD. Vuong also has interests in VinFast, which is valued at 8 billion USD and ranks 8th globally in electric vehicles with over 87,000 units delivered. VinFast was also ranked 101st in TIME’s list of the 500 best companies in Asia-Pacific 2025. Another Vingroup entity, Vinpearl, is preparing for listing on HoSE, potentially strengthening Vingroup’s position in the stock market.
