On March 7, Vingroup’s VIC stock, led by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, surged to its daily limit (+6.97%), boosting the company’s market capitalization to 173.2 trillion VND. As a result, Vuong’s wealth increased by 1.5 billion USD to 5.6 billion USD, making him the richest in Vietnam and ranked 611th globally. The trading session saw over 11.5 million shares exchanged, with 30% executed at the ceiling price of 42,500 VND. Additionally, Vinhomes (VHM) and Vincom Retail (VRE) stocks also saw gains, delighting shareholders. Vingroup is in the process of listing Vinpearl, intending to issue more than 1.79 billion shares. The company reported revenue of 14.388 trillion VND in 2024, a 55% increase compared to the previous year, with a pre-tax profit of approximately 2.55 trillion VND.
