Stock shares race each other to ‘green and purple’, with some reaching historical peaks, what is happening?

The Vietnamese stock market recently recorded a surge in trading, especially within the securities sector. Many stocks like BVS, FTS, and EVS increased by 3%-6%, with VIX hitting a ceiling. Trading volume in this sector soared, with VIX trading over 113 million units. Stocks such as SSI, VND, and VCI returned to historical peaks, and HCM reached a new high. The significant increase in liquidity, with the average trading value reaching nearly 18.8 trillion VND, alongside foreign buying of 400 billion VND on HoSE, ended a long selling streak. This surge may be related to the anticipated market upgrade in 2025, with FTSE expected to consider this in September 2025 after two main reviews.
