How do Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, and Bamboo divide their “territories” after the T3 terminal launches at Tan Son Nhat?

The T3 terminal at Tan Son Nhat Airport is set to open on April 19, 2025, aimed at reducing congestion at terminal T1 and optimizing airline operations. Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet will shift all domestic flights to T3, which will alleviate pressure on the old terminal. Specifically, from April 19, Vietnam Airlines’ Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City flights will operate at T3, with other domestic routes moving there by April 28. Meanwhile, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO will continue operations in T1. The T2 terminal will still handle international flights. Passengers are advised to check terminal information on their tickets and arrive at least two hours before departure. Free shuttle buses are provided for terminal connections, and online check-in is recommended to save time.
