Out of 21 humanoid robots that participated in China’s first android half-marathon, only 4 successfully crossed the finish line within the designated 4-hour limit. Tiangong Ultra emerged as the champion, completing the race in 2 hours and 40 minutes, significantly behind human competitors.
Despite the intention to highlight China’s prowess in AI and robotics, many robots faced technical failures during the race, illustrating challenges in design and mobility. This event attracted attention and underscored China’s ambitions in advancing technology.
