On May 7, 2025, Ethereum is set to launch its Pectra upgrade, introducing crucial features like EIP-7702 for smart contract execution. This implementation aims to streamline user experience and enhance scalability, particularly benefiting decentralized applications.
Validators will be able to stake up to 2,048 ETH, which is expected to improve staking rewards while reducing network load, further reinforcing Ethereum’s infrastructure and supporting an expanding user base.
