Despite Elon Musk’s Dogecoin efforts, government spending actually went up after Trump won

Although Elon Musk’s DOGE initiative aimed to slash government costs, federal spending actually rose by 6.3% in Trump’s first four months back in office. This equates to an additional $156 billion despite claims of $160 billion in savings.

The DOGE initiative resulted in significant layoffs, impacting 240,000 government employees. Major departments faced closures, and education funding dropped by $10 billion. The program’s implementation led to controversies and a decline in public support for Musk.
