North Korea’s Bitcoin reserves have decreased notably, now holding 7,813 BTC after the Lazarus Group liquidated 5,749 BTC since mid-March. This shift means North Korea ranks below Bhutan in Bitcoin holdings.
Bhutan has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 12,062 BTC as of May 12, 2025. This rise signifies a strategic initiative that contrasts sharply with North Korea’s recent liquidation activities.
The U.S. Remains the largest Bitcoin holder at 198,012 BTC valued at 20.38 billion USD. The upcoming May 14 announcement regarding Pi Network may influence market dynamics further.
