The DCH consortium has proposed participation in key projects in Ho Chi Minh City, including urban railway and green transport projects. Their goal is to become the EPC general contractor for related projects, especially Metro line 2 Bến Thành-Tham Lương, which spans over 11 km and is expected to start construction by the end of 2025. The project was approved in 2010 with an initial investment of approximately 1.3 billion USD, later adjusted to 2 billion USD in 2019. Ho Chi Minh City is hurrying to process procedures for the project, with plans to select contractors in October 2025. Hoa Phat, one of Vietnam’s largest private enterprises, is aiming to be among the top three companies in the industrial production sector. The consortium also includes Dai Dung Group, known for its construction of two stadiums in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, and Construction Corporation No. 1, a contractor for many large construction projects in Vietnam.
