Meta has initiated a collaboration with Anduril to create AI-integrated mixed-reality headsets for military use. The headsets, designed to improve soldiers’ awareness and control of autonomous systems, will utilize Anduril’s Lattice platform for real-time data integration.
The project, funded privately, repurposes commercial technology for military applications. Palmer Luckey, Anduril’s co-founder, expresses a vision to transform soldiers into ‘technomancers’, enhancing their tactical capabilities in combat scenarios.
