Worldcoin has successfully introduced eye-scanning kiosks in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and other major cities to create digital IDs. This move aims to verify users’ identities while addressing privacy concerns amid the rise of advanced AI.
Despite raising significant funds, including over 300 million USD from notable investors, the project is under scrutiny by regulatory bodies in several countries. Tools for Humanity has been working closely with UK regulators to ensure compliance.
The project’s commercialization efforts include potential partnerships with various platforms, although there is currently no revenue. World ID users may also receive Worldcoin tokens, highlighting the integration of identity verification with digital currency.
