In the first 5 months of 2025, Hung Yen attracted nearly 4.5 billion USD in investment capital, doubling the total of 2024, mainly due to large real estate projects, notably the Phố Nối urban area project led by Hòa Phát. This project has been re-tendered, increasing its investment capital to 35 trillion VND (approximately 1.4 billion USD), ten times higher than the original. Previously, this project was approved in 2004, and land was allocated in 2018; however, land price approval is still pending, leading to a proposal for retendering. Besides Hòa Phát, the Trump International Hung Yen urban and ecological tourism complex has recently started construction with an investment of 39 trillion VND (1.5 billion USD), contributing significantly to the investment influx. So far, Hung Yen has 79 newly registered and adjusted projects, totaling 4.48 billion USD, along with over 2,400 effective investment projects with nearly 28 billion USD in total registered capital.
