Google plans to back out of major AI deal

Google is ending its 200 million USD contract with Scale AI following Meta’s acquisition of 49% of the firm. This raises significant concerns among tech giants regarding data security and collaboration. It represents a major shift in the competitive dynamics of the AI industry.

As Google and others reconsider their partnerships, competitors such as Labelbox and Handshake are seeing growing demand for their services. Additionally, many AI labs are shifting towards in-house data-labeling to ensure data security and maintain their strategic advantages.
