David Schwartz, the CTO of Ripple, has suggested implementing a refund system for excess fees on the XRP Ledger, which would enhance fairness and efficiency in transactions.
Currently, the XRPL charges fixed fees leading to potential overpayments. Unlike Ethereum, which refunds unused gas, XRPL does not have a refund mechanism, creating disparity that Schwartz’s proposal aims to correct.
