Agriculture firm AgriFORCE powers 120 crypto miners with natural gas

AgriFORCE has initiated a project using stranded gas to power 120 Bitcoin mining rigs in Alberta, with a computing capability of 425 kilowatts producing 32 petahashes per second.

The company plans to expand its operations to two additional sites and has already mined 7 Bitcoin worth around 735,000 USD, with a significant revenue growth of 317% year-over-year.

As energy prices rise, AgriFORCE anticipates an increase in production costs for Bitcoin, projected to escalate from 64,000 USD to 70,000 USD per BTC by mid-2025.
