Vietnam’s Oil and Gas Company Exports 33 Offshore Wind Foundation Worth 300 Million USD to Danish Partner

On June 16, 2025, Petrovietnam and PTSC held a ceremony to unveil a product celebrating the 4th Party Congress of the Group, marking the completion and handover of 33 exported wind foundation units. This is the first time a Vietnamese enterprise has manufactured large-scale wind foundations for export. The project involves 33 foundations for the Greater Changhua 2b&4 wind power project in Taiwan, contracted with Ørsted from Denmark in May 2023. Each foundation is 85 meters tall and weighs 2,300 tons, entirely produced in Vietnam. PTSC completed all foundations by March 26, 2025, and handed them over on June 17, 2025, with a contract value of 300 million USD, generating 115 million USD in revenue for PTSC in 2025. The revenue from this sector is expected to grow by 40.5% and 69.8% in the 2025–2026 period, with improved gross profit margins due to better experience and larger contracts.
