Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission approves Guotai Junan Securities to offer virtual-asset trading services

The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has granted Guotai Junan Securities the approval for virtual-asset trading, allowing them to offer access to prominent cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Following the announcement, Guotai Junan International’s stock soared by nearly 200%, reflecting investor confidence in the new trading capabilities.

Experts forecast that more mainland brokerages will seek similar licenses due to favorable regulatory conditions, further enriching Hong Kong’s financial ecosystem.
