Court adjourns until August 22 in AI chip fraud hearing for Singapore trio

The Singapore court has rescheduled the AI chip fraud hearing to August 22, allowing prosecutors more time to analyze case documents and gather international responses concerning the transactions.

The accused—Aaron Woon Guo Jie, Alan Wei Zhaolun, and Li Ming—are under investigation for allegedly misrepresenting end users of Nvidia AI chips, which has significant implications for international security.

The case is part of a wider investigation involving 22 suspects and firms linked to similar fraudulent activities, suggesting a network exploiting Singapore as a transit hub for AI chips possibly intended for military use in China.
