The BNB Smart Chain’s block times have fallen to 0.8 seconds following the Maxwell upgrade, down from 1.5 seconds. This significant reduction improves overall network efficiency.
The upgrade incorporates proposals BEP-524, BEP-563, and BEP-564, aimed at enhancing scalability and validator synchronization while boosting transaction speeds and communication.
Ahead of the upgrade, the BNB token has shown market optimism, increasing by 6.5% in value with current trading at 655.70 USD.
