Billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao Partners with US Businesses, Proposed Investment Reaches 119 Billion USD

In a recent report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietjet revealed it has ordered 406 narrow-body aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs for US labor. The airline has signed major contracts with corporations like Boeing, GE, and SpaceX worth tens of billions of USD, contributing to strengthening economic relations between Vietnam and the US. Vietjet and its partners propose an investment of 119.4 billion USD across various sectors by 2033. The transportation sector dominates with 65.3 billion USD, including 64 billion USD for Boeing aircraft orders and projects to build smart airports and metro lines in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, there is a proposed investment of 3.3 billion USD in technology and education, with projects including satellite internet development and digital banking. The energy sector is also prioritized with a proposed LNG power plant worth 800 million USD. If supported by the government, total trade turnover is expected to reach 94 billion USD by 2030 and 119.4 billion USD by 2033.
