Since the Ethereum Merge, the issuance of ETH has been limited to about 300,000. Public companies, including BitDigital and SharpLink Gaming, have dominated the acquisition, indicating a strong institutional interest that might soon lead them to buy all newly issued tokens.
Despite the increasing institutional demand, some experts express concerns over ETH’s weakening narratives and competitive position against emerging blockchain technologies. As of now, ETH trades at approximately 2,550 USD, significantly lower than its all-time high of 2021.
