The Management Board of Quang Ninh Economic Zone has announced a project to find investors for a luxury tourism complex with a casino in Van Don, covering 244.45 hectares with an investment of over $2 billion. The project is expected to last 70 years, with a construction period of 9 years, and will include various amenities such as casinos, hotels, and luxury villas. Notably, casino operations for Vietnamese residents will be subject to legal conditions.
Previously, Everland Group expressed plans to build a casino in Van Don with the Crystal Holidays Harbour project, featuring amenities such as a luxury marina, casino, and conference center. This project was introduced at a launch event in March 2023, and phase 2 will reportedly include 2,274 hotel rooms and various modern services.
