Vanguard calls Bitcoin immature, then becomes top shareholder of Bitcoin proxy strategy

Vanguard has become the largest shareholder of Strategy, owning over 20 million shares, which is nearly 8% of the company. This move indicates a shifting perception of Bitcoin’s legitimacy among institutional investors.

The stock of Strategy has surged approximately 850% over the past two years, partly driven by substantial Bitcoin holdings. As of this year, Strategy’s shares rose about 55%, marking significant growth.

Michael Saylor, co-founder of Strategy, asserts that Vanguard’s investment signifies increasing institutional acceptance of Bitcoin. Analysts note the irony of traditional finance embracing Bitcoin despite prior skepticism.
