Dozens of ‘giants’ on the stock exchange terminate contracts with an industrial zone: What is about to happen?

Bình Hòa 1 Industrial Zone, home to many major companies, will cease operations to convert into an urban development project. Following the land recovery notice from the People’s Committee of Biên Hòa City, many companies such as Biên Hòa Packaging Company (Sovi) and Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company (Sochem) have begun relocating their factories. According to the decision of Đồng Nai Province’s People’s Committee, services infrastructure for the industrial zone will end from August 1, 2025. Enterprises must complete contract liquidation documents by July 15, 2025, and promptly relocate to meet conversion deadlines.
Bình Hòa 1 Industrial Zone was established in 1963 but has become a site of serious pollution due to outdated infrastructure and poor wastewater treatment. The government has decided to remove this industrial zone from the national planning, facilitating the conversion to improve living conditions.
