Improved purchasing power forecast, KIDO doubles mooncake production for 2025

KIDO Group (KDC) has announced plans to double its mooncake production for 2025 compared to the previous year, based on positive consumer feedback on its KIDO’s Bakery and Thọ Phát products. CEO Tran Le Nguyen noted that purchasing power is expected to improve due to positive economic signals, such as reduced taxes from the US government and high GDP growth in Vietnam.
KIDO’s mooncakes are available at over 300 stores and through various online channels since mid-July 2025. The company reported strong business performance, with mooncake sales reaching 450 tons in 2023, up 50% from 2022. Consumers currently prefer low-sweetness products with unique fillings and appealing packaging, and there is a growing trend for multichannel shopping. The government is actively cracking down on counterfeit and low-quality goods, providing opportunities for reputable large enterprises like KIDO.
