As of the end of 2024, there are 50 companies in the Vietnamese stock market with a market capitalization of over 1 billion USD, totaling more than 5 trillion VND. From the beginning of the year to mid-July 2025, 9 new companies have joined this list due to impressive stock price increases, including Gelex Electric (GEE, up 316%) and Gelex Holdings (GEX, up 144%). VIX (VIX Securities Company) has increased by 106% and is now the second largest securities company after SSI. Notably, Novaland (NVL) has recovered and re-entered the billion-dollar list after a 62% increase. Novaland is planning to raise capital by swapping debt with creditors while addressing legal obstacles to improve its financial situation.
