Since July 17, 2025, Chris Larsen’s wallet has sent 50 million XRP, totaling around 175 million USD, to multiple addresses, largely influenced by XRP’s price rise to a peak of 3.6 USD on July 18, boosting its market cap to 215 billion USD.
This transfer comes on the heels of a significant security breach in January 2024, where 112 million USD in XRP was stolen. The wallets involved had been inactive for six years and previously transferred 109 million USD in XRP to exchanges.
