Cameron Albert Redman, a 22-year-old Canadian, has received a one-year prison sentence for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and identity theft.
Redman exploited high-profile X accounts to lure victims into believing they were participating in raffles, but instead allowed him to steal their digital assets.
U.S. Authorities reported that Redman has an extensive cybercrime history, including a SIM-swapping attack that resulted in over 40 million USD stolen.
