In the first six months of 2025, many companies reported significant profit declines compared to the same period in 2024, with some nearly reaching 100% decrease. Vinaship (VNA) and Nha Tu Liem (NTL) are notable examples, with VNA’s profit dropping from 35 billion to 400 million VND and NTL’s from 844 billion to 12 billion VND. The main reasons include reduced operational effectiveness, adverse market conditions, and unstable supply. Hoa Binh Construction Company (HBC) also reported a 93% decrease in profit, reaching 57 billion VND. The securities sector led the declines, with four companies showing significant reductions: VDSC -97%, Trí Việt Securities -94%, APG Securities -86%, and EVS -77%. Additionally, many companies from various sectors such as tire production, investment, F&B, media, coal, and electricity also faced significant profit reductions. Some companies even reported substantial losses, with NSH Petro at 332 billion VND, Novaland at 261 billion VND, and Cảng Phước An at 248 billion VND.
