The GreedyBear group, according to cybersecurity firm Koi Security, has stolen over 1 million USD through a variety of tactics including fake wallet extensions and malware.
The group employs more than 150 malicious browser extensions to impersonate popular crypto wallets, showcasing a rise in industrial-scale crypto theft.
Additionally, the campaign incorporates AI-generated code, enabling rapid scaling and diversification of their scams, indicating the new normal in crypto-focused cybercrime.
