FPT Plans to Adjust Annual Revenue Growth to 15%, Signs of Recovery in July

On August 12, FPT Corporation announced a projected adjustment in its revenue growth plan to 15% and a profit growth of 18-19% for 2025, lower than the initial targets. The main reasons include a slowdown in the IT sector in the APAC region due to tariffs and customer requests regarding AI application. Revenue from AI services has increased by 75% year-on-year, but the performance of AI factories in Vietnam and Japan remains below expectations. Despite a reduction of 497 employees, FPT has seen signs of recovery starting in July, with concurrent revenue growth in telecommunications driven by an increase in subscribers and higher fees for new customers.
The company also maintains a target of 30% growth in new student enrollment in education, supported by improved marketing and tuition installment programs. The management is optimistic about future prospects but has not confirmed if the second quarter’s revenues have bottomed out.
