For the first time in history, Vietnam has 10 banks with capitalization over 100 trillion

The Vietnamese stock market is witnessing significant growth, with the VN-Index rising nearly 390 points (30%) since the beginning of the year, reaching a historic high of 1,654 points. As of mid-August, there are 23 stocks with a market capitalization of over 100 trillion, with the banking sector dominating this list with 10 banks, including Vietcombank, BIDV, VietinBank, Techcombank, VPBank, MB, ACB, LPBank, HDBank, and Sacombank. These bank stocks, particularly private ones, have seen substantial increases. Current issues for banks include policies related to credit growth and reserve requirements. Additionally, banks are focusing on engaging in blockchain and digital asset fields, with plans to cooperate with international partners to develop digital asset solutions in Vietnam.
