Workers’ Daily: Abnormal transactions of virtual currencies may be suspected of crimes

The Beijing Second Intermediate People’s Court addressed a case involving the use of virtual currencies to hide criminal earnings.

Defendant Liu received a sentence of three years and six months for facilitating a transfer of 200,000 yuan in USDT, along with a 40,000 yuan fine. The court emphasized the legal risks of handling unknown-origin funds.
