Becamex IDC’s Board of Directors (BCM) approved an investment of 196 billion VND into Becamex – VSIP Power Development Company (BV Power) to increase its charter capital to 500 billion VND, maintaining a 49% ownership stake. BV Power, founded in March 2023 with an initial charter capital of 100 billion VND, operates in electricity transmission and distribution. In its first year, BV Power reported a revenue of 1.5 billion VND but incurred a loss of 3.4 billion VND. It is expected that in 2024, revenue will rise to 4 billion VND while the net loss widens to 10.3 billion VND. Meanwhile, Becamex IDC will seek shareholder opinions to change the company’s name and amend the charter in September 2025. The company also plans to issue 150 million shares to the public at a minimum price of 50,000 VND per share, aiming to raise at least 7.5 trillion VND for infrastructure projects and debt repayment.
