ETH staking entry queue hits two-year high as institutions accumulate

ETH staking entry queue has climbed to the highest level since September 2023. On-chain data shows 860,369 ETH, worth about 3.7 billion USD, awaiting activation. Everstake cites stronger network confidence, increased institutional participation, rising ETH prices, and historically low gas fees as the main catalysts for the larger validator backlog.

The staking exit queue retreated 20% from its 1 million ETH peak on August 29, reducing sell-off worries. About 35.7 million ETH is staked (approximately 162 billion USD). Corporate treasuries hold around 4.7 million ETH (near 20.4 billion USD), most of which is staked, further boosting the entry queue.
