Digital Transformation in Pharmacy and Medicine: What the World Can Do, We Can Too

Recently, the Vietnamese pharmacy and medicine sector has actively embraced digital transformation to enhance product and service quality. Traphaco has shifted its strategy from traditional medicine to producing modern drugs using advanced technology, focusing on developing biological equivalent pharmaceuticals. They collaborated with international corporations to shorten research times and improve product quality. TNH Hospital Group is building a smart hospital by implementing electronic medical records and integrating management systems, thereby minimizing patient wait times. Medlatec Hospital has also reduced patient wait times by 30%. Nevertheless, the pharmacy and medicine sector still requires more specific policies from the government to promote innovation and improvement. Although there are challenges, such as a low rate of domestic pharmaceuticals, companies are committed to increasing local production rates while asserting their competitive ability against public hospitals in Vietnam.
