Shrimp giant reports 32% revenue growth in August, cautiously setting aside nearly 100 billion for 3 new tax types in the US market

FMC Corporation reported an August 2025 revenue of $40.16 million, a 32% increase year-on-year, the highest since the start of the year, accumulating total revenue of $214 million over 8 months. Growth primarily stems from the US market, which comprises 33% of FMC’s revenue. The company forecasts sufficient orders through year-end. However, profit after tax for the first half of the year reached 139.3 billion VND, unchanged from a year earlier due to rising selling costs, including nearly 97 billion VND in costs for three new taxes in the US, such as anti-dumping tax. FMC currently maintains about 1,472 billion VND in cash, strengthening liquidity amid fierce competition from major rivals like India and Ecuador.
