Chuong Duong Beverage Company (CDBECO) is facing a bankruptcy risk due to its inability to repay debts to Sabeco. The company’s Board of Directors has proposed to extend a loan of over 450 billion VND from Sabeco, emphasizing that if not approved, CDBECO could face significant risks. As of mid-2025, the company has borrowed 426 billion VND from Sabeco, mainly for the My Phuoc 3 project and working capital. In the first half of 2025, CDBECO recorded a loss of 46 billion VND with revenues only reaching 55% of the plan, raising concerns about its financial situation. A severe cash flow shortage is expected as debts fall due at the end of the year. To improve, CDBECO is implementing solutions such as supporting distributors and launching new products. CDBECO is mostly owned by Sabeco but has lost market share to larger beverage companies.
