In approximately 9 months, she added nearly 1 billion USD, fueled by strong increases in HDBank and Vietjet Air stocks. Since becoming a billionaire, she is the only Vietnamese woman on this list. Thao emphasized that she has never paused to tally her wealth, instead focusing on company growth and raising employee incomes. She began her career at 21, earning her first million USD through international trade. She remarked on the need for passion and effort in business to achieve success, highlighting the private sector’s crucial role in development, not just for businesses but for the community as well.
