Wincommerce Accelerates, Bach Hoa Xanh Slows Down: Two Retail Giants Compete for Influence in Central Vietnam

In the dynamic Vietnamese retail market, Wincommerce (WCM) of Masan Group is experiencing strong growth while Bach Hoa Xanh (BHX) of The Gioi Di Dong shows signs of slowing down. WCM’s revenue for Q1 2025 reached 8.785 trillion VND, up 10.4%, and further rose to 9.130 trillion VND in Q2, with a 16.4% increase. Since the beginning of the year, WCM has opened 415 new stores, bringing the total to 4.243. In contrast, BHX recorded revenue of 11.000 trillion VND in Q1, but only increased by 12.6% in Q2, reaching 11.600 trillion VND. BHX’s new store openings have also significantly decreased, adding just 20 stores in Q3.
