FECON Corporation (FCN) has won its first contract worth nearly 200 billion VND for the Urban Railway Project Line 2, section Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao. This marks FECON’s entry as the first local contractor in this vital Metro project, following its success in the Nhon – Hanoi Railway Station line. The contract includes construction over an area of about 11 hectares in Xuan Dinh Ward, set to commence shortly after contract signing, within a 499-day execution timeframe. The overall project spans 11.5 km, comprised of 8.9 km underground and 2.6 km above ground, aiming for completion by 2029 to alleviate congestion and modernize the capital’s infrastructure. FECON has established a solid reputation through various major Metro projects, solidifying its brand in Vietnam’s infrastructure sector. FECON’s Chairman, Pham Viet Khoa, stated that this project’s participation would allow the company to pursue larger contracts in future Metro endeavors in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
