Ripple enhances institutional finance strategy with new lending protocol and privacy tools

On September 22, Ripple announced it is enhancing its institutional finance strategy. Among the new tools are credentials for decentralized identities and deep freeze features to protect sanctioned accounts. A lending protocol is expected to facilitate pooled lending with insured credit for institutional players and smaller investors.

Ripple plans to develop zero-knowledge proofs and a confidential multi-purpose token for collateral management by early 2026. This initiative seeks to solidify XRPL’s position as a top blockchain in the institutional finance space while ensuring regulatory compliance and scalability.
