The 2024 annual report reveals that among 21 large enterprises in Vietnam, only 37.3% of the workforce at Vingroup is female, yet 59% of management positions are held by women. This reflects the management philosophy of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, who asserts that women have significant strengths in leadership roles. The banking sector shows a high proportion of female staff, around 60%, although Sacombank is an exception with only 48.28% women. Many banks have low female representation in management, highlighting the challenges women face in career advancement. According to ILO, although Vietnam has a high female labor force participation rate, women only occupy about 1/4 of leadership positions, due to the burden of unpaid work at home and inequalities in job opportunities.
